Payment

Payment is due at the time of service after your pooch is groomed. 

We currently accept check and credit/debit card. Sorry, no cash is accepted at this time. We offer a cash discount to clients paying by check. In order to schedule an appointment, we require a credit/debit card be kept on file.

We have a $20 returned check fee.

 

Cancellations or Delays

We require a 24 hour notice for cancellations. We need time to fill your appointment slot and also reschedule your pooch as we do not want them going too long without a groom. Emergencies do happen. If you find that you need to delay your appointment, please call or text us as soon as possible at 717-398-4491. We will discuss whether we are able to postpone your appointment for later in the day or if we need to reschedule you for another day.

If we arrive to your home and you are not there and  no prior arrangements were made to get your pup without you being present, we will charge you 75% of the total groom. This will need paid prior to rescheduling your pooch for their next grooming appointment. If you are a repeat offender, then Poochie Oasis will remove you from our list of clients. 

Driving Conditions

We groom all year long! That being said, weather does throw challenges our way. The Poochie Oasis van does not go out if driving conditions are dangerous.

If schools are cancelled or delayed then we will most likely be cancelled or delayed. We will contact you prior to your appointment to reschedule your groom. You may call or text us at 717-398-4491 if you are concerned that we are cancelled or delayed.

We appreciate your honesty informing us if your driveway/road is clear of ice. This makes a safer situation for your pooch and your groomer! 

Poochie Health

Up-to-date vaccination records are required for each dog that we groom. We will ask to see current records prior to grooming your pooch.

We need to know if your pooch has had surgery, was treated for an injury or if they were recently sick. If your pooch was seen by a veterinarian, we suggest that you ask your vet for advice on when you may begin scheduled grooming for your pooch.

Please advise us of any medical condition that your pooch may have. This includes a condition diagnosed by your vet or any condition that you happen to see yourself.

** Please note that you will need to fill out a New Client Form in order to schedule a grooming appointment. This provides us with pertinent information on you and your pooch.

Poochie Behavior

Poochie Oasis tries to make each grooming experience as quiet and stress free as possible. Some dogs will exhibit overly aggressive behavior. They may be afraid, they may not like new surroundings or they just may not like being groomed at all.

We are not an aggressive dog groomer. We will not continue to groom a dog that jeopardizes the health and safety of itself or the groomer. If we complete a groom on an overly aggressive dog, handling charges of $40+ may be charged in addition to the cost of the groom on your bill. We will then discuss whether you and your pooch will remain on the client list. Thank you in advance for your understanding!
